Americo Alcalde blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Javier Moya having to make a save. 11 minutes into the game, Jacobo Prelo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Abel Piñeira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Leonel Vidrio sped through Paila FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abel Piñeira. Javier Moya made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angel Oberto in the 20th minute of play. The supporters of Paila FC booed when BaRcElOnA 1925 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jimmy Magallanes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Javier Moya acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 22nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Francisco Alcivia. Xan Area's late challenge caught a BaRcElOnA 1925's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Xan Area helped the player get up and apologised. Xan Area hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Paila FC's zone, Vimaro Cuadrado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abel Piñeira came out of the goal and Vimaro Cuadrado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. BaRcElOnA 1925's Javier Moya played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Angel Oberto in the 35th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacobo Prelo to strike the kick off in the second half. If Americo Alcalde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Javier Moya took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Angel Oberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vimaro Cuadrado got free with Abel Piñeira in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Angel Oberto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Vimaro Cuadrado came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the BaRcElOnA 1925 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vimaro Cuadrado couldn't finish the play. 71 minutes into the game, Pepito Segura was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paila FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BaRcElOnA 1925 the free kick. After a rather tough play, Paila FC's Pepito Segura got a free kick in the 71st minute. BaRcElOnA 1925's Caicedo Bipiana shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 76th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Abel Piñeira but with some difficulty. Xan Area was shown his second yellow card after 77 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 78th match minute, Paila FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xan Area to maneuver through the defense. Paila FC's Abel Piñeira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Paila FC from getting a goal against them. Americo Alcalde blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Javier Moya having to make a save. Vimaro Cuadrado who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Abel Piñeira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Paila FC's Americo Alcalde got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Paila FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching BaRcElOnA 1925's performance. The match ended with a win for BaRcElOnA 1925.
