Vermudo Guau showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabricio Carmeneses in the 4th minute of the match. Escobar Coyas short, quick shot in the 8thth minute got Carcelén Tuñon to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Gallegos SC's Hector Carne in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CD Llurimagua's goalie prevented a goal. 15 minutes into the game, German Junyent lined in a short shot 2-0 behind a frustrated Carcelén Tuñon. A collision led to CD Llurimagua getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Xinaro Mayoral hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Gallegos SC's Denis Argomedo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Carcelén Tuñon. That made the score 3-0 after 23 minutes of play. In the 26th minute, Bolívar Tocornal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vermudo Guau was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Escobar Coya could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Carcelén Tuñon made a huge save. Hector Carne received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Carcelén Tuñon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If German Junyent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of CD Llurimagua booed when Gallegos SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grueso Gavela didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vermudo Guau took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabricio Carmeneses, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Grueso Gavela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Fabricio Carmeneses made a kick off. After 54 played minutes Gallegos SC got a freekick which was hit by Grueso Gavela. Vermudo Guau made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Carmeneses in the 58th minute of play. After some careless play in the CD Llurimagua defense, German Junyent kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carcelén Tuñon. The CD Llurimagua fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carcelén Tuñon should have stopped the shot. 64 minutes into the game, Gallegos SC's Denis Argomedo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carcelén Tuñon made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-1. Carcelén Tuñon came out of the goal in the 69th minute to try and stop a shot by Gallegos SC's Hector Carne. But to his dismay, Hector Carne quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. If Grueso Gavela had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carcelén Tuñon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Denis Argomedo in the 75th minute of play. Gallegos SC's German Junyent got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 85 minutes, Xinaro Mayoral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CD Llurimagua and the Gallegos SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Xinaro Mayoral hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. In the 87th minute, Escobar Coya hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 91st minute, Hector Carne made a precise shot to the right of Carcelén Tuñon. CD Llurimagua's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-1. In the 96th minute Fabricio Carmeneses shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vermudo Guau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gallegos SC fully deserved thier win.
