IRW FC's Poroso Capellan got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Villarreal Celaya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ismael Zarraga scored 1-0 in the 9th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Hurtado Herbon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. IRW FC's 曹军林 played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ximenez Sauca in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to L.D.U de Quito getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Mendoza Olmedo hit a great ball. A sloppy throw-in by Cristian Binet in the 24th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by L.D.U de Quito's James Puente. Hurtado Herbon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Villarreal Celaya in the 30th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Ximenez Sauca managed to get in a good position for a shot. L.D.U de Quito's supporters rose to their feet, but Ximenez Sauca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. 曹军林 breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ayoví Fardi made a kick off. Cristian Binet kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Segio Elenes took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for 曹军林 to make any attempt to save it. Ximenez Sauca could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but 曹军林 made a huge save. 65 minutes into the match, Ayoví Fardi notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of L.D.U de Quito's Hurtado Herbon. Hurtado Herbon was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Cordero Corcoba took the ball and in the 69 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised 曹军林. 曹军林 dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. IRW FC's 曹军林 proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save IRW FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ayoví Fardi in the 83rd minute of play forced L.D.U de Quito's goalkeeper Hurtado Herbon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 played minutes L.D.U de Quito got a freekick which was hit by Segio Elenes. After a rather tough play, L.D.U de Quito's Cortez Cieza got a free kick in the 87th minute. Hurtado Herbon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Binet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hurtado Herbon showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ismael Zarraga in the 91st minute of the match. 92 minutes into the game, Cristian Binet cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Hurtado Herbon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. L.D.U de Quito's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
