Xacobo Armas came out of the goal and Xavier Illan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustavo Respaldizar struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Uhin Chaves didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portete. Xavier Illan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xacobo Armas having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Gustavo Respaldizar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Guamán Carrera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the match, Portete's Guamán Carrera sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Uhin Chaves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Xacobo Armas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xavier Illan in the 28th minute. If Parrales Montalvo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xacobo Armas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Parrales Montalvo in the 34th minute of play. 36 minutes into the match, Parrales Montalvo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Xacobo Armas, 1-0. 40 minutes into the match, UD Copta's goal looked a bit too open when Guamán Carrera came free, but Uhin Chaves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to UD Copta getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Xavier Illan hit a great ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

A collision led to Portete getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Guamán Carrera hit a great ball. UD Copta were awarded a corner in the 53th minute after Portete's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Urritz Artache took the corner. The corner led UD Copta's Urritz Artache to fire away a dangerous shot which Xacobo Armas despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Xacobo Armas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Illan in the 55th minute of play. When Xavier Illan came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the UD Copta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavier Illan couldn't finish the play. Paredes Pascual recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Portete's Xacobo Armas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Parrales Montalvo in the 70th minute of play. Nando Latonero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Respaldizar's late challenge caught a UD Copta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gustavo Respaldizar helped the player get up and apologised. Gustavo Respaldizar hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. Xacobo Armas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Parrales Montalvo, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. In the 78th minute, Parrales Montalvo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UD Copta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Xacobo Armas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xavier Illan in the 83rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guamán Carrera got free with Uhin Chaves in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tercero Plasencia got a throw-in 86 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Guamán Carrera. Xavier Illan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Augusto Tiagonce's late challenge caught a UD Copta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Augusto Tiagonce helped the player get up and apologised. After having played for 93 minutes, Xavier Illan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Copta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xavier Illan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Portete's Augusto Tiagonce got a free kick in the 94th minute. If Parrales Montalvo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Portete's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
