The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 7th minute, Almendral's Urre Pantoja ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Xabat Resto. Xabat Resto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Urre Pantoja might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xabat Resto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Urre Pantoja ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 19th minute, Alejo Ado made a precise shot to the right of Xabat Resto. NEW WORLD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 22nd minute of the match Videl Gorbalan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Eduardo Jene showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Almendral's Eduardo Jene played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guagua Armiñan in the 24th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Wilfredo Abel reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Xabat Resto. The goal made the score 3-0. Guagua Armiñan scored 3-1 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eduardo Jene, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Almendral's Alejo Ado got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Wilfredo Abel sped through NEW WORLD's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Xabat Resto. After a rather tough play, Almendral's Lavalle Casiano got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Eduardo Jene showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guagua Armiñan, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilfredo Abel made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilfredo Abel in the 52nd minute of play forced NEW WORLD's goalkeeper Xabat Resto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Manuel Peñuelas hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. The referee gave Almendral a penalty, 72 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Alejo Ado, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of NEW WORLD's Xabat Resto. 6-1. Urre Pantoja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Xabat Resto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Almendral's Wilfredo Abel in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Almendral fully deserved thier win.
