Franco Peñacerrada didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Urre Pantoja went, in the 2nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. After some careless play in the Potrerillos defense, Lavalle Casiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Franco Peñacerrada. The Potrerillos fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Franco Peñacerrada should have stopped the shot. Alejo Ado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wilfredo Abel scored 0-4 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Franco Peñacerrada, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Wilfredo Abel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Alejo Ado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Peñacerrada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Franco Peñacerrada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilfredo Abel's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. After 38 minutes, Leon Eradi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Potrerillos and the Almendral players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 39 played minutes, Almendral's Alejo Ado shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Franco Peñacerrada came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Almendral reached it. Urre Pantoja received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Franco Peñacerrada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 44 minutes into the match, Potrerillos's goal looked a bit too open when Alejo Ado came free, but Franco Peñacerrada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 44 minutes into the game, Alejo Ado cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-5. Franco Peñacerrada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The supporters of Potrerillos booed when Almendral was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Uxio Lorden didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute Urre Pantoja shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franco Peñacerrada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 75 minutes, Virgilio Zalona managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Potrerillos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Virgilio Zalona was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 79th minute Virgilio Zalona shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Jene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 82 minutes into the match, Potrerillos's goal looked a bit too open when Wilfredo Abel came free, but Franco Peñacerrada reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wilfredo Abel had several of the Potrerillos's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 88 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-6 score and a disappointed Franco Peñacerrada as he didn't even see the shot coming. In the 92nd minute Reynaldo Zuaza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eduardo Jene saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lavalle Casiano hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Almendral's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
