Perez Clarabout did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Gomez Orchua 7 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute, UD Landazuri's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Raimundo Sotorrio fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Zarbonin Parada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Monelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Zarbonin Parada took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Washington Villaño, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zarbonin Parada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelo Monelo's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. When Carlos Almirall fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Landazuri's protests and gave Carlos Almirall a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Carlos Almirall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gomez Orchua made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raimundo Sotorrio in the 21st minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carnero Orejo during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 23 played minutes UD Landazuri got a freekick which was hit by Carnero Orejo. Zarbonin Parada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Monelo in the 29th minute of play. After recieving a nice pass, Chayo.Jair's Mario Martin tried to score from far away in the 32nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Carnero Orejo hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Mario Martin's shot from long distance in the 34th minute was not bad at all, but UD Landazuri's Gomez Orchua knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Thanks to some nice moves Raimundo Sotorrio could shoot a difficult shot in the 35th minute, which Gomez Orchua however easily saved by the left post. After 36 minutes of play UD Landazuri's Carnero Orejo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Carnero Orejo kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Raimundo Sotorrio might have been able to make a better finish in the 38th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gomez Orchua. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Sotorrio ran back to his position shaking his head. After 39 played minutes UD Landazuri got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Almirall. Gomez Orchua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Perez Clarabout in the 43rd minute of the match. Zarbonin Parada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcelo Monelo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcelo Monelo was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of UD Landazuri booed when Chayo.Jair was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. German Onil didn't get a good kick on the ball. UD Landazuri's Gomez Orchua played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Perez Clarabout in the 70th minute of play. Marcelo Monelo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Zarbonin Parada tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chayo.Jair's Mario Martin took a good shot, in the 77th minute, which hit the crossbar above Gomez Orchua's head, and flew over the goal. UD Landazuri's manager was very thankful on the sidelines as his team had managed to keep the ball out of the net after some serious pressure by Chayo.Jair. The crowd rose to their feet as UD Landazuri's Marcelo Monelo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Zarbonin Parada. That made the score 1-1 after 79 minutes of play. In the 87th match minute, UD Landazuri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cotera Bernabeytia to maneuver through the defense. In the 91st match minute, UD Landazuri was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cotera Bernabeytia to maneuver through the defense. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gomez Orchua showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
