Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) 4 minutes into the match, independiente magdalena's goalkeeper Caicedo Ageitos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Humberto Oñatibia. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Genaro Peñuñuri during the 9th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 9 played minutes independiente magdalena got a freekick which was hit by Genaro Peñuñuri. Fernández Amescua showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cordero Merino, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. Ovidio Zuazna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernández Amescua having to interfere. Caicedo Ageitos was a little too slow when Jaime Pubill got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 23rd minute. The score was now 1-0. A collision led to independiente magdalena getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Genaro Peñuñuri hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Libertad's Caicedo Ageitos threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Jaime Pubill, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Cordero Merino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fernández Amescua having to interfere. Vincente Villacanes's late challenge caught a independiente magdalena's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vincente Villacanes helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of independiente magdalena booed when Libertad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincente Villacanes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jaime Pubill recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cordero Merino struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Fernández Amescua didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for independiente magdalena. 46 minutes into the game, Libertad's Estacio Flames nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caicedo Ageitos made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0.

Narciso Sanches fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caicedo Ageitos having to interfere. independiente magdalena's Caicedo Ageitos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Humberto Oñatibia in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the match, Jaime Pubill notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of independiente magdalena's Caicedo Ageitos. Caicedo Ageitos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Jaime Pubill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 67th match minute, Libertad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincente Villacanes to maneuver through the defense. Estacio Flames recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. independiente magdalena's Caicedo Ageitos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jaime Pubill in the 70th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Humberto Oñatibia managed to get in a good position for a shot. Libertad's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Oñatibia was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Caicedo Ageitos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Humberto Oñatibia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. independiente magdalena's Caicedo Ageitos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Estacio Flames in the 78th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Cordero Merino kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fernández Amescua. That made the score 3-1 in the 79 minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 82nd minute of the game. One of Libertad:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of independiente magdalena:s goal. 90 minutes into the match, Narciso Sanches had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Caicedo Ageitos. independiente magdalena's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Narciso Sanches was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Ovidio Zuazna kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Libertad's zone, Cordero Merino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fernández Amescua came out of the goal and Cordero Merino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caicedo Ageitos didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Narciso Sanches went, in the 98th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score.
