Cristobal Cobian was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 26 minutes into the game, Barros Ferreras was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CA Parque Central's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SD Aucas the free kick. CA Parque Central's Cristobal Cobian played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Gondian in the 28th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Asturi in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristobal Cobian saved CA Parque Central from getting behind. SD Aucas's attentive Freddy Valencina managed to snatch the ball when Zornin Socobio made a throw-in in the 35th minute of the game. In the 38th minute, Virgilio Fontova hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Celso Asturi might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cristobal Cobian. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celso Asturi ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Celso Asturi in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristobal Cobian saved CA Parque Central from getting behind. Celso Asturi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Cristobal Cobian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The CA Parque Central players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. SD Aucas were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silvio Callergos made a kick off. The supporters of CA Parque Central booed when SD Aucas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Xepe Fontecha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Silvio Callergos took the ball and in the 72 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edgar Pedulles. Edgar Pedulles dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 76 minutes into the match, SD Aucas's goal looked a bit too open when Silvio Callergos came free, but Edgar Pedulles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvio Callergos kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Edgar Pedulles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Albizua, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. If Rodrigo Gondian had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 86 minutes into the game, Marco Albizua cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Edgar Pedulles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Cristobal Cobian took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celso Asturi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute, Rodrigo Gondian ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cristobal Cobian was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2.
