After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Alonso Varioz managed to get in a good position for a shot. AEK Cuchipamba's supporters rose to their feet, but Alonso Varioz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yiyo Chavarri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cumbicus Zorrilla got free with Yiyo Chavarri in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Raul Heraña made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Baracaldo in the 18th minute of play. In the 19th minute Alonso Varioz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yiyo Chavarri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ruta 53 getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Moisés Lorenzo hit a great ball. Ruta 53's Yiyo Chavarri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Ruta 53 from getting a goal against them. In the 28th minute Alonso Varioz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yiyo Chavarri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Ruta 53's Yiyo Chavarri got control of the ball when Cumbicus Zorrilla tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to AEK Cuchipamba getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Jerson Moya hit a great ball. In the 36th minute, Christian Avalo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Christian Avalo took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Raul Heraña. Raul Heraña dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leo Diana was the one to do the kick off. Raul Heraña didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 58th minute, which inside left pole to 0-2. With his leg Raul Heraña managed to avoid a goal in the 62ndth minute, when Ruta 53's Leo Diana fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 63rd minute, Tomas Delgado left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The AEK Cuchipamba fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Yiyo Chavarri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 played minutes Ruta 53 got a freekick which was hit by Gian-Carlo Calzada. In the 79th minute, Ruta 53's Moisés Lorenzo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Raul Heraña. Raul Heraña yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. After 85 played minutes Hidalgo Terres rounded AEK Cuchipamba's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-5. After 88 minutes of play, Ruta 53's Vincente Infante made it 1-6 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Raul Heraña was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ruta 53's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
