The supporters of CD JUNIOR´S booed when Alejandro Magno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chiriboga Reiriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 7th minute the ball was on its way in behind CD JUNIOR´S's goalkeeper Xelo Cariton, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 9 minutes into the match, Alejandro Magno's Wilmer Manurga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xelo Cariton narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 11 played minutes Alejandro Magno got a freekick which was hit by Hector Folgoso. In the 15thth minute of the game Chiriboga Reiriz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CD JUNIOR´S's Xelo Cariton was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Romo Lucas charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Romo Lucas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for CD JUNIOR´S! In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Alejandro Magno. Bohórquez Maide stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Xelo Cariton. 0-1. In the 24th minute Quiñónez Fonoll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberto Rada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Alejandro Magno's Bohórquez Maide got a free kick in the 25th minute. If Bohórquez Maide had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of CD JUNIOR´S booed when Alejandro Magno was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bohórquez Maide didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chiriboga Reiriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xelo Cariton having to interfere. In the 41st minute, Trivniño Suarez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alejandro Magno fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Juan Junquera's late challenge caught a Alejandro Magno's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Juan Junquera helped the player get up and apologised. After 46 played minutes CD JUNIOR´S got a freekick which was hit by Juan Junquera. In the 46th minute of the match Bohórquez Maide shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Xelo Cariton showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Wilmer Manurga came up free with the goalie in the 48th minute, the Alejandro Magno fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilmer Manurga couldn't finish the play. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Juan Junquera made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wilmer Manurga in the 52nd minute of play forced CD JUNIOR´S's goalkeeper Xelo Cariton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Trivniño Suarez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xelo Cariton having to interfere. Alberto Rada didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Quiñónez Fonoll went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. If Juan Junquera had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xelo Cariton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chiriboga Reiriz in the 62nd minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Alejandro Magno's Wilmer Manurga slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Xelo Cariton. That made the score 1-3 after 64 minutes of play. Chiriboga Reiriz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xelo Cariton having to interfere. After having played for 71 minutes, Chiriboga Reiriz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alejandro Magno's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chiriboga Reiriz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Chiriboga Reiriz might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xelo Cariton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chiriboga Reiriz ran back to his position shaking his head. Chiriboga Reiriz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xelo Cariton having to make a save. If Chiriboga Reiriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Trivniño Suarez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Xelo Cariton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chiriboga Reiriz struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Xelo Cariton didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alejandro Magno. With a little luck, CD JUNIOR´S's Xelo Cariton got control of the ball when Trivniño Suarez tried to sneak it across the goal line. Chiriboga Reiriz's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Xelo Cariton skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The CD JUNIOR´S fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Alejandro Magno were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
