After a rather tough play, UD Arteaga's Zosimo Enebro got a free kick in the 17th minute. If Vincent Arratia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carabalí Alberete hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. López Rubalcava made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Vincent Arratia sent off a good shot on target. 45 minutes into the match, UD Arteaga's goalkeeper López Rubalcava had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Espinosa Moreira. Xandro Betancia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ordonez Cotorro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The wind increased when Xandro Betancia made the kick off in the second half. UD Arteaga's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Renán Polanco in the 55th minute. The corner ended in Renán Polanco almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SD AUCAS's Ordonez Cotorro did a great save. López Rubalcava took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vincent Arratia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 65 minutes into the game, Julio Fontova was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SD AUCAS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Arteaga the free kick. A collision led to SD AUCAS getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Julio Fontova hit a great ball. After 75 minutes, Calle Venegas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SD AUCAS and the UD Arteaga players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of UD Arteaga booed when SD AUCAS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Calle Venegas didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Carabalí Alberete came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the UD Arteaga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carabalí Alberete couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute Xandro Betancia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ordonez Cotorro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vincent Arratia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the final whistle sounded UD Arteaga left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than SD AUCAS.
