After 10 minutes of play, BARCELONA S.C.'s Uxio Urquijo made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Gabilondo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Xzavier Sorriva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yépez Francia in the 15th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Asencio Barona during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mariscal Sucre's Asencio Barona got a free kick in the 17th minute. Uxio Urquijo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Juan Gabilondo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Iván Blasco in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Juan Gabilondo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 24th minute, Mariscal Sucre's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Uxio Urquijo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Iván Blasco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hugo Almonte charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hugo Almonte the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to BARCELONA S.C. getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Hugo Almonte hit a great ball. After 29 played minutes BARCELONA S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Nicolás Alayz. 30 minutes into the match, Mariscal Sucre's Almandoz Zaton broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Juan Gabilondo made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Uxio Urquijo sent off a good shot on target. BARCELONA S.C.'s Xzavier Sorriva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yépez Francia in the 36th minute of play. Iván Blasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Gabilondo having to interfere. BARCELONA S.C.'s Iván Blasco got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yépez Francia was the one to do the kick off. Iván Blasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Juan Gabilondo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. After 60 played minutes BARCELONA S.C. got a freekick which was hit by Hugo Almonte. Iván Blasco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Juan Gabilondo having to make a save. If Pablo Govelo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. BARCELONA S.C.'s Hugo Almonte got his second yellow card of the match in the 69th minute. The referee ordered Hugo Almonte off the ground. In the 69th minute, Hugo Almonte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mariscal Sucre's Almandoz Zaton couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 70th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for BARCELONA S.C.. 76 minutes into the match, BARCELONA S.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Yépez Francia came free, but Xzavier Sorriva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mariscal Sucre's Yépez Francia got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uxio Urquijo in the 88th minute of play forced Mariscal Sucre's goalkeeper Juan Gabilondo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 94 minutes, Yépez Francia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mariscal Sucre's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yépez Francia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to BARCELONA S.C. getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Xamo Aeta hit a great ball. BARCELONA S.C.'s supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
