When Erick Olmedilla came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Hangover FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erick Olmedilla couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the match, Hangover FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luis-Antonio Irabien came free, but Krikorian Roelas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Weather Eureste took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Sanchez Melgar. Krikorian Roelas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis-Antonio Irabien in the 35th minute of the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Villafuerte Onterino to make the kick off. After 52 minutes, Hernan Poblaciones mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Almendral and the Hangover FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 52 played minutes Almendral got a freekick which was hit by Hernan Poblaciones. Almendral's Hernan Poblaciones got his second yellow card of the match in the 54th minute. Hangover FC's Krikorian Roelas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zeledon Mazule in the 94th minute of play. Sanchez Melgar didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Peter Oropesa went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score.
