Huertopamba SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Barcelona the free kick. Ovidio Velazquez hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 6th minute, Jimmy Armenta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Jimmy Armenta notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Huertopamba SC's Federico Vargas. Federico Vargas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 19 minutes into the game, FC Barcelona's Inocencio Moral nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Federico Vargas made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Federico Vargas made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Jimmy Armenta sent off a good shot on target. George Rebolleda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Mina Llaria tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 32 minutes into the game, Jimmy Armenta recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Federico Vargas. Jimmy Armenta showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. After some careless play in the Huertopamba SC defense, Inocencio Moral kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Federico Vargas. The Huertopamba SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Federico Vargas should have stopped the shot. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-1.

The wind increased when George Rebolleda made the kick off in the second half. Federico Vargas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Inocencio Moral, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 58 minutes into the game, Inocencio Moral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Federico Vargas was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Huertopamba SC's Ovidio Velazquez got a free kick in the 61st minute. 62 minutes into the game, Cevallos Oyaga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Huertopamba SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Barcelona the free kick. In the 62nd minute, Cevallos Oyaga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC Barcelona's Jimmy Armenta got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Ordonez Ituarte hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Federico Vargas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vitório Secco in the 75th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 78 minutes, Jimmy Armenta put it in 7-1 from a short distance just to the right of Federico Vargas. After 90th play minutes Jimmy Armenta shot 9-1, a short shot which went by Federico Vargas and just under the crossbar into goal. Jimmy Armenta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Federico Vargas having to interfere.
