Edinho Velloso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iachetti Tubia in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 34th minute of the match, Lopez Lezarreta got a very nice opportunity to score, but Edinho Velloso was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 35th minute, Klimovich Aballe ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. CD Cotocollao's Jonathan Galiana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabian Calvillo in the 70th minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, Roris Alsedar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CD Cotocollao's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Liga de Ecuador the free kick.
