The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rubén Helguera showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 17th match minute, SD Zombie was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uxio Piñan to maneuver through the defense. Agustín Abos's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 20thth minute, Rubén Helguera skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Agustín Abos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Liga de Quito's Moreno Menocal got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Uxio Piñan kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Rubén Helguera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Agustín Abos in the 31st minute. 34 minutes into the match, Liga de Quito's goal looked a bit too open when Cevallos Ramires came free, but Zayvius Vives reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marin Heraña in the 37th minute of play forced Liga de Quito's goalkeeper Zayvius Vives to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marin Heraña couldn't finish the play.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Cevallos Ramires got free with Zayvius Vives in the 51st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dani Mazas during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Marin Heraña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zayvius Vives didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cevallos Ramires went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. 92 minutes into the match, Moreno Menocal notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of SD Zombie's Rubén Helguera. Rubén Helguera was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 96th minute of the game. One of SD Zombie:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Liga de Quito:s goal. Klimowitz Botello shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The SD Zombie players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
