The referee ignored Santiago Jr's protests and gave Antonio Bueres a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Santiago Jr getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. In the 17th minute, Santiago Jr's Antonio Bueres seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Antonio Bueres the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Santiago Jr protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Antonio Bueres had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 16 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Santiago Jr! Rodriguez Trujillo shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. In the 24th minute, Kage Bunshin © GYE's Xines Ruiloba ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Urbano Nobal. Urbano Nobal yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. 27 minutes into the match, Santiago Jr's goalkeeper Urbano Nobal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gustavo Carbezo. Urbano Nobal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xines Ruiloba in the 28th minute of play. Santiago Jr's Fred Billing got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 33rd match minute, Kage Bunshin © GYE was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rogerio Ariza to maneuver through the defense. Urbano Nobal made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Rixon Granda sent off a good shot on target. 40 minutes into the match, Kage Bunshin © GYE's goal looked a bit too open when Unax Callon came free, but Xantalen Celis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rixon Granda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Urbano Nobal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fred Billing hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. In the 46th minute, Rodriguez Trujillo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Santiago Jr's Urbano Nobal didn't even have to move. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Unax Callon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Rixon Granda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Urbano Nobal was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Urbano Nobal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xines Ruiloba in the 57th minute of play. After some careless play in the Santiago Jr defense, Xines Ruiloba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Urbano Nobal. The Santiago Jr fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urbano Nobal should have stopped the shot. Rogerio Ariza hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Urbano Nobal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xines Ruiloba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Santiago Jr's Şemsettin Tükelay got a free kick in the 67th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Xines Ruiloba had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Urbano Nobal. Santiago Jr's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xines Ruiloba was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. 80 minutes into the match, Santiago Jr's goal looked a bit too open when Xines Ruiloba came free, but Urbano Nobal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Urbano Nobal didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rixon Granda went, in the 86th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. In the 90th minute, Rixon Granda made a precise shot to the right of Urbano Nobal. Santiago Jr's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-1. After some careless play in the Santiago Jr defense, Rixon Granda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Urbano Nobal. The Santiago Jr fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Urbano Nobal should have stopped the shot.
