Dani Sendin was left in no man's land by his defense there! Paulo Boreyta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mariano Matamoro having to interfere. If Polo Viñambres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dani Sendin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyrone Zamarro in the 42nd minute of play. Guayaquil City's Dani Sendin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Xurde Sousa in the 44th minute of play. Dani Sendin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Joffre Villaquilambre went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tyrone Zamarro was the one to do the kick off. In the 76th minute Tyrone Zamarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Sendin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Xurde Sousa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 77th minute of the match, but Dani Sendin made a huge save. The crowd rose to their feet as Tyrone Zamarro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dani Sendin. That made the score 0-6 in the 86 minute of play. In the 89th minute of the match, Xurde Sousa got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dani Sendin was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 93rd minute Tyrone Zamarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dani Sendin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 95th minute, Xurde Sousa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The LIGA DE QUITO fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-7.
