In the 19th minute Suárez Guardia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Ochotorena saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. But to his dismay, Suárez Guardia quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. If Checa Pena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Félix Leston didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 45th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Luciano Cos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Félix Leston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Héctor Carbezo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Félix Leston stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luciano Cos's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Héctor Carbezo in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Félix Leston saved Cuarteguro FC from getting behind. Félix Leston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Cos in the 71st minute of the match. UD Bastidas's Héctor Carbezo got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 82 minutes into the match, Cuarteguro FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luciano Cos came free, but Félix Leston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Héctor Carbezo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Félix Leston was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cuarteguro FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for UD Bastidas.
