The audience thought a goal was coming when Narciso Torres got free with Edwin Selgas in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Hugo Mendaza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hugo Mendaza scored 1-2 in the 47th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Geovanni Lomelin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Hugo Mendaza made the kick off in the second half. Geovanni Lomelin made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Hugo Mendaza sent off a good shot on target. Cruz Galantia was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 74 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, one of patron bolivar:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for patron bolivar. Teodoro Capitan kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, patron bolivar's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Rubio came free, but Edwin Selgas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of patron bolivar booed when UD Chical was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teodoro Capitan didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Cordon got free with Geovanni Lomelin in the 92nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Many of patron bolivar's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. patron bolivar may have spent more time on the ball, but UD Chical were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
