Spectators: 6675 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1675, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when David Inchausti kicked off to start the match. UD Guallagro's defense didn't have a chance, in the 5th minute, when Monge Gabiña scored to the left of an out of position Ignacio Mejia, making the score, 1-0. Villegas Celis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 9th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the game, David Inchausti cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Elkin Pangua was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 24 played minutes Abanico got a freekick which was hit by Peter Traus. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Abanico's goalkeeper Elkin Pangua, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Villegas Celis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Unai Mollinedo in the 40th minute of play forced Abanico's goalkeeper Elkin Pangua to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. UD Guallagro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Unai Mollinedo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Monge Gabiña to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Monge Gabiña in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ignacio Mejia prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ignacio Mejia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Villegas Celis in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Urtats Ucedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 58th match minute, Abanico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Traus to maneuver through the defense. 59 minutes into the match, Unai Mollinedo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Elkin Pangua. Abanico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Unai Mollinedo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Villegas Celis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Mejia having to interfere. 68 minutes into the match, Abanico's goal looked a bit too open when David Inchausti came free, but Elkin Pangua reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Abanico's goalkeeper Elkin Pangua had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Unai Mollinedo. In the 75th minute Monge Gabiña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Mejia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Monge Gabiña received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ignacio Mejia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Monge Gabiña fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ignacio Mejia having to interfere. Unai Mollinedo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Elkin Pangua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Unai Mollinedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Abanico's Xanti Pedrera got a free kick in the 94th minute. 95 minutes into the game, Unai Mollinedo recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Elkin Pangua. Unai Mollinedo showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-3. The UD Guallagro supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing UD Guallagro would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
