Villota Taran blasted a shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elkin Pangua having to make a save. Luis Fabeiro charged in rather forcefully in the 9th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luis Fabeiro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Jempekat getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Luis Fabeiro hit a great ball. Villegas Celis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fidel Camara having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Jempekat's goal looked a bit too open when Monge Gabiña came free, but Fidel Camara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18th minute, Monge Gabiña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 18 played minutes Jempekat got a freekick which was hit by Antonio Lasso. Jempekat's Fidel Camara played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monge Gabiña in the 22nd minute of play. 22 minutes into the game, Weterio Delgado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Jempekat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Abanico the free kick. In the 23rd match minute, Jempekat was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Weterio Delgado to maneuver through the defense. Elkin Pangua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Villota Taran in the 28th minute of the match. If Xulio Miquel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Abanico getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Rocio Criales hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the game, Villota Taran cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Elkin Pangua was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Elkin Pangua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xulio Miquel in the 35th minute of play. Xulio Miquel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Elkin Pangua tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute Monge Gabiña shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fidel Camara saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Xulio Miquel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elkin Pangua showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xulio Miquel in the 45th minute of the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Villota Taran was the one to do the kick off. When Jempekat's Villota Taran in the 53rd minute got a chance for a shot 53rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Abanico's goalie prevented a goal. Elkin Pangua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Villota Taran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Jempekat booed when Abanico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Klimowitz Elberdin didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Jempekat's Yépez Urrue tried to score from far away in the 66th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Elkin Pangua came out of the goal in the 68th minute to try and stop a shot by Jempekat's Xulio Miquel. But to his dismay, Xulio Miquel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Elkin Pangua made an important save on a dangerous shot by Xulio Miquel in the 71st minute. In the 73rd minute Villota Taran shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elkin Pangua saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Villegas Celis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Fidel Camara tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Villegas Celis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Villota Taran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elkin Pangua having to interfere. After 91 minutes, Rixon Moldes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jempekat and the Abanico players grew even worse after the yellow card.
