Humberto Opacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zernin Durana having to interfere. Humberto Opacio took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Zernin Durana. Zernin Durana dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of M E G A D E T H booed when Club Sport Patria was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wellington Estany didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute, Willian Bigotte got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 15 minutes into the game, Xavon Quiroga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. M E G A D E T H's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Sport Patria the free kick. In the 15th minute, Xavon Quiroga hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Willian Bigotte kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by M E G A D E T H's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Anangonó Peinado was slow to take the kick. During this time Club Sport Patria's players had a chance to rest. If Fernando Urria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anangonó Peinado recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 25th minute Fernando Urria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zernin Durana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. M E G A D E T H's Zernin Durana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anangonó Peinado in the 27th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Xavon Quiroga in the 30th minute of play forced Club Sport Patria's goalkeeper Xavieon Oton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xavieon Oton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Xavon Quiroga to make the kick off. Xavieon Oton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johnny Lorca, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. In the 56th minute, Abidin Uçuk ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Xavieon Oton was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. 60 minutes into the match, Club Sport Patria's goal looked a bit too open when Xavon Quiroga came free, but Xavieon Oton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xavon Quiroga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 91st minute, Humberto Opacio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Sport Patria's supporters rose to their feet, but Humberto Opacio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zernin Durana breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 93 minutes into the match, Club Sport Patria's goal looked a bit too open when Xavon Quiroga came free, but Xavieon Oton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Quintana Juan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. M E G A D E T H's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
