Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Julio Llorente started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Xabel Zubizarrieta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nicolas Leza didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Rosario Bergues went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. In the 10th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chaupitranca's goalkeeper Xicu Bueno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rosario Bergues scored 0-2 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nicolas Leza, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Xabel Zubizarrieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xicu Bueno having to interfere. Xabel Zubizarrieta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Xicu Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rosario Bergues during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 25 played minutes Chaupitranca got a freekick which was hit by Rosario Bergues. When Edison Secadura came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Merced fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edison Secadura couldn't finish the play. In the 28th minute Xabel Zubizarrieta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xicu Bueno saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xabel Zubizarrieta stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Edison Secadura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merced's supporters rose to their feet, but Edison Secadura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xicu Bueno breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xicu Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xabel Zubizarrieta in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Chaupitranca's zone, Xabel Zubizarrieta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xicu Bueno came out of the goal and Xabel Zubizarrieta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Julio Llorente received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Nicolas Leza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xabel Zubizarrieta recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 66 minutes of play, Merced's Xabel Zubizarrieta made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Xicu Bueno was left in no man's land by his defense there! Edison Secadura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. German Casero took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xicu Bueno. Xicu Bueno dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Xicu Bueno showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edison Secadura in the 75th minute of the match. When Blanco Ovies fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Merced's protests and gave Blanco Ovies a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Merced got a freekick which was hit by Blanco Ovies. Chaupitranca's supporters stood up full of expectation in the 81st minute of the game, when Marcelo Cadelo after an extraordinary solo performance found himself with a golden opportunity in front of Merced's goal. Marcelo Cadelo was unfortunally a little to anxious and the ball went outside the goal. Edison Secadura received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Xicu Bueno tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xabel Zubizarrieta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xicu Bueno having to interfere.
