In the 10th minute Carlos-Armando Cunyat shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Estrada Trelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Banda Pelotera's Ferrer Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Banda Pelotera from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Banda Pelotera's Rubio Bricianos got a free kick in the 24th minute. The audience was convinced that Mario Echavarria's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ferrer Toledo was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. With a left leg Estrada Trelles saved CD Tamboloma from getting behind. 38 minutes into the game, Telmo Horduña was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Banda Pelotera's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CD Tamboloma the free kick. Telmo Horduña kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. In the 44th minute Armando Harroyo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ferrer Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of CD Tamboloma booed when Banda Pelotera was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Telmo Horduña didn't get a good kick on the ball. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CD Tamboloma reached it. After having played for 86 minutes, Rubio Bricianos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Banda Pelotera's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rubio Bricianos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlos-Armando Cunyat might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Estrada Trelles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos-Armando Cunyat ran back to his position shaking his head. After a rather tough play, CD Tamboloma's España Sarria got a free kick in the 91st minute. Carlos-Armando Cunyat could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Estrada Trelles made a huge save. In the 96thth minute of the game Mario Echavarria who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Banda Pelotera's Ferrer Toledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Banda Pelotera were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing CD Tamboloma to leave the ground with a draw.
