Jimmy Borroel hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Guasimo's goalkeeper Carnero Barquin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 14th minute Rosero Velasco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Armando Lombana saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Flavio Caamaño in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Armando Lombana saved PIG-OJOS United from getting behind. Lopez Arichaga could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Carnero Barquin made a huge save. Carnero Barquin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guamán Lozada, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Armando Lombana made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rosero Velasco in the 26th minute of play. In the 27thth minute of the game Flavio Caamaño who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but PIG-OJOS United's Armando Lombana was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Flavio Caamaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rosero Velasco in the 35th minute of play forced PIG-OJOS United's goalkeeper Armando Lombana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Guasimo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Lopez Arichaga fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Thanks to some nice moves Lopez Arichaga could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Carnero Barquin however easily saved by the left post. With an all-out effort, PIG-OJOS United's Carnero Barquin threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Guamán Lozada, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Guamán Lozada was the one to do the kick off. Flavio Caamaño struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Armando Lombana didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guasimo. After a defensive mix-up in PIG-OJOS United's zone, Flavio Caamaño stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Armando Lombana came out of the goal and Flavio Caamaño tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustavo Calona took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 65th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carnero Barquin. Guasimo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Guasimo's Guagua Camarero got a free kick in the 65th minute. Flavio Caamaño received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Armando Lombana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Lombana made an important save on a dangerous shot by Guagua Camarero in the 73rd minute. 74 minutes into the match, PIG-OJOS United's goalkeeper Armando Lombana had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rosero Velasco. Flavio Caamaño might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Lombana. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Flavio Caamaño ran back to his position shaking his head. When Guamán Hervas came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the PIG-OJOS United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Guamán Hervas couldn't finish the play. Carnero Barquin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guamán Lozada, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rosero Velasco got free with Armando Lombana in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flavio Caamaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guamán Lozada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 95 minutes of play PIG-OJOS United's Guamán Hervas was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After 96 played minutes PIG-OJOS United got a freekick which was hit by Guamán Hervas.
