A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Simisboy's Ubarna Artacho sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Xalvador Acuña narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dan Sandberg in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Moreta Duque prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Roberto Murguiondo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Moreta Duque made a huge save. When the match clock showed 17 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Dan Sandberg sped through Simisboy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Moreta Duque. Dan Sandberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Moreta Duque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simisboy's Moreta Duque proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Simisboy from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Simisboy's Moreta Duque got control of the ball when Dan Sandberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Roris Bolado struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Xalvador Acuña didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simisboy. Ubarna Artacho might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Xalvador Acuña. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ubarna Artacho ran back to his position shaking his head. Xayveon Cancela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Moreta Duque tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Simisboy's Moreta Duque proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Simisboy from getting a goal against them. In the 47th minute Dan Sandberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moreta Duque saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dan Sandberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dan Sandberg in the 51st minute of play forced Simisboy's goalkeeper Moreta Duque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Moreta Duque came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by UD Chontacruz's Dan Sandberg. But to his dismay, Dan Sandberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Ubarna Artacho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xalvador Acuña having to interfere. Dan Sandberg struck a weak shot in the 63rd minute. Moreta Duque didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for UD Chontacruz. Moreta Duque showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fleitas Lusa in the 66th minute of the match. Moreta Duque made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dan Sandberg in the 67th minute of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Roberto Murguiondo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Chontacruz's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Murguiondo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Simisboy defense, Xayveon Cancela kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Moreta Duque. The Simisboy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Moreta Duque should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, UD Chontacruz's Fleitas Lusa got a free kick in the 83rd minute. A hard shot by Adrian Tinoco from long distance, 85 minutes into the match, got Xalvador Acuña's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. In the 91st minute, Roberto Murguiondo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Moreta Duque took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Sandberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute UD Chontacruz were awarded a corner. Xayveon Cancela went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Stig-Åke Alin almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Simisboy's Moreta Duque did a great save. UD Chontacruz walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
