Vernaza Baldaliso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boca juniors. In the 26th minute Garcia Candano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Palacios Bartolome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Palacios Bartolome made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Garcia Candano in the 36th minute of play. Boca juniors's Palacios Bartolome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garcia Candano in the 39th minute of play. Barros Amocia might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Vernaza Baldaliso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Barros Amocia ran back to his position shaking his head.

The wind increased when Barros Amocia made the kick off in the second half. When Diego Vizcaino fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boca juniors's protests and gave Diego Vizcaino a yellow card for diving instead. Diego Vizcaino kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Zamora Arteaga kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. Garcia Candano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Palacios Bartolome having to interfere. Casado Piñango recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Sundillano's zone, Leonel Cayon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vernaza Baldaliso came out of the goal and Leonel Cayon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Sundillano's Vernaza Baldaliso got control of the ball when Leonel Cayon tried to sneak it across the goal line. Boca juniors's Leonardo Herbi suffered a concussion after 84 minutes and had to leave the field. In the 85th match minute, Sundillano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ugutz Tiedra to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute, Casado Piñango left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sundillano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. A collision led to Sundillano getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Nunez Balaunde hit a great ball. Sundillano's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
