Arboleda Romay's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Darío Camudio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. If Arboleda Romay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Darío Camudio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arboleda Romay, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Cesar Hermida took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ovidio Peralta to make any attempt to save it. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Cesar Hermida sped through CDC Spellman's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ovidio Peralta. In the 38th minute Joaquin Aostri shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Darío Camudio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind barce f c's goalkeeper Darío Camudio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Cesar Hermida made the kick off in the second half. After 51 minutes, René Trespalacios mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CDC Spellman and the barce f c players grew even worse after the yellow card. barce f c's Darío Camudio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save barce f c from getting a goal against them. Darío Camudio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from René Trespalacios, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in CDC Spellman's zone, Fabio Santo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ovidio Peralta came out of the goal and Fabio Santo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ovidio Peralta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Estrada Caras, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. If René Trespalacios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CDC Spellman's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
