When Ignacio Orbaneja fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CDC Spellman's protests and gave Ignacio Orbaneja a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Barcelona S.C booed when CDC Spellman was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ignacio Orbaneja didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 5thth minute of the game Ferrer Guiza who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CDC Spellman's Ovidio Peralta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ovidio Peralta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joffre Aleso, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Ferrer Guiza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Ovidio Peralta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ignacio Orbaneja kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Ovidio Peralta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joffre Aleso in the 11th minute of play. Arboleda Romay had several of the Barcelona S.C's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 14 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-0 score and a disappointed Fernando Marines as he didn't even see the shot coming. Fernando Marines made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Arboleda Romay sent off a good shot on target. Barcelona S.C's Fernando Marines proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Barcelona S.C from getting a goal against them. If René Trespalacios had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Barcelona S.C's Fernando Marines got control of the ball when Arboleda Romay tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fernando Marines didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from René Trespalacios went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Ovidio Peralta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joffre Aleso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ferrer Guiza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Ovidio Peralta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ovidio Peralta came out of the goal in the 34th minute to try and stop a shot by Barcelona S.C's Ferrer Guiza. But to his dismay, Ferrer Guiza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Fernando Marines made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from René Trespalacios in the 39th minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when René Trespalacios stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Arboleda Romay sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fernando Marines showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from René Trespalacios in the 55th minute of the match. If Arboleda Romay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arboleda Romay scored 4-1 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fernando Marines, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ferrer Guiza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arboleda Romay recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ovidio Peralta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ferrer Guiza in the 73rd minute. Arboleda Romay might have been able to make a better finish in the 75th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fernando Marines. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Arboleda Romay ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 83 minutes, René Trespalacios managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. CDC Spellman's supporters crossed their fingers, but René Trespalacios was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 88 minutes into the match, Barcelona S.C's Joffre Aleso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ovidio Peralta narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ferrer Guiza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Ovidio Peralta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Barcelona S.C players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CDC Spellman.
