After a rather tough play, Buenaventura's Rodolfo Bozo got a free kick in the 10th minute. In the 13th minute Leo Perales shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teofilo Baraona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leo Perales sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Xulio Trinidad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorio Dozal, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. If Victorio Dozal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SHUSHUFINDI S.C.'s zone, Victorio Dozal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Xulio Trinidad came out of the goal and Victorio Dozal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Victorio Dozal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Xulio Trinidad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xulio Trinidad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torres Guisasola, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. If Victorio Dozal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victorio Dozal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SHUSHUFINDI S.C.'s Xulio Trinidad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Torres Guisasola in the 38th minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leo Perales was the one to do the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, SHUSHUFINDI S.C.'s Leo Perales nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Teofilo Baraona made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 56th minute Torres Guisasola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xulio Trinidad saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Buenaventura's Torres Guisasola slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Xulio Trinidad. That made the score 1-1 after 71 minutes of play. In the 79thth minute of the game Moreno Agües who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Buenaventura's Teofilo Baraona was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Buenaventura's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
