The corner ended in Espínola Valdevielso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Culasti SC's Arboleda Miras did a great save. Sergio Arroniz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sergio Suarbol read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. After 17 played minutes Culasti SC got a freekick which was hit by Vitin Urraca. 20 minutes into the match, Zorion Areces dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arboleda Miras, 1-1. Kléber Horna hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Sergio Suarbol made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sergio Arroniz in the 24th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Club Atlético Sucre's goal looked a bit too open when Sergio Arroniz came free, but Sergio Suarbol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kléber Horna hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Flavio Arguiz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sergio Suarbol was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. After 31st play minutes Flavio Arguiz shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Sergio Suarbol and just under the crossbar into goal. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Club Atlético Sucre getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Kléber Horna hit a great ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Monge Goyeneta was the one to do the kick off. If Monge Goyeneta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 59 minutes into the match, Monge Goyeneta notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Culasti SC's Arboleda Miras. Arboleda Miras was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sanchez Najera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 65th minute, Culasti SC's Flavio Arguiz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sergio Suarbol. Though ot was a great shot Club Atlético Sucre's keeper Sergio Suarbol was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 76 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Atlético Sucre's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mora Armesto was slow to take the kick. During this time Culasti SC's players had a chance to rest. Velasco Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sergio Suarbol having to interfere. Emilio Rois charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Emilio Rois the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Sergio Arroniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sergio Arroniz couldn't finish the play. In the 95th match minute, Club Atlético Sucre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zorion Areces to maneuver through the defense. Culasti SC's Mora Armesto shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 96th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Sergio Suarbol but with some difficulty.
