Azconzábal Cobides charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The audience thought a goal was coming when Machado Vado got free with George Morellana in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute, Oscar Machon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. George Morellana was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The audience was convinced that Machado Vado's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but George Morellana was relentless in the 81st minute of the game.
