In the 15th minute, Carlos-Armando Rojica got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jairo Parserises kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Blanco Berrez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carlos-Armando Rojica, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Fabiola FC booed when Iluminati AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos-Armando Rojica didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luis Casabo during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fabiola FC's goalkeeper Blanco Berrez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carlos-Armando Rojica recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jairo Parserises took the ball and in the 43 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Angelo Montano. Angelo Montano dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carlos-Armando Rojica to make the kick off. Fabiola FC's Blanco Berrez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Novales in the 55th minute of play. In the 61st minute Videl Añoza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelo Montano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Videl Añoza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jairo Parserises got free with Angelo Montano in the 79th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Fabiola FC's Videl Añoza slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Angelo Montano. That made the score 0-2 after 83 minutes of play. Iluminati AIK's Aurelio Novales got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see Iluminati AIK lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
