Spectators: 6500 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Lucas Bernal kicked off to start the match. After a defensive mix-up in ULPA FC's zone, Vilson Sojo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zenon Izaga came out of the goal and Vilson Sojo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Vilson Ibaizabal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zxavian Lejalde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Ponce Landaluce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zxavian Lejalde took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ponce Landaluce. Ponce Landaluce dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. If Vilson Ibaizabal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vilson Sojo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zenon Izaga having to interfere. Zenon Izaga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vilson Ibaizabal in the 28th minute of the match. If Lucas Bernal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, ULPA FC's Mauricio Medel got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute, Christobal Llorden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 47th minute Vilson Ibaizabal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zenon Izaga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

52 minutes into the game, Vilson Sojo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Zenon Izaga was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. ULPA FC's Zenon Izaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save ULPA FC from getting a goal against them. The supporters of ULPA FC booed when Inter De Guayaquil ll was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christobal Llorden didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th match minute, ULPA FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luis-Antonio Meneses to maneuver through the defense.
