After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Ignacio Humara managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Nacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Ignacio Humara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vela Mansilla breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Despite being the better team, El Nacional failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
