In the 16th match minute, Los Broncos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paz Ocio to maneuver through the defense. CD Asuncion's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Navarro Encio in the 19th minute. The corner led to CD Asuncion's William Somarriba getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Leo Cemborain managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Asuncion's supporters rose to their feet, but Leo Cemborain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Tato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 23 minutes, Xabat Machicao mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CD Asuncion and the Los Broncos FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 25 minutes of play, Los Broncos FC's Xalvador Alonso made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angulo Portanares was left in no man's land by his defense there! 28 minutes into the game, Carlos Sabon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Enrique Tato was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Leo Cemborain received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Enrique Tato tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Carlos Sabon came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the CD Asuncion fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Carlos Sabon couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Leo Cemborain in the 41st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enrique Tato saved Los Broncos FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carlos Sabon in the 45th minute of play forced Los Broncos FC's goalkeeper Enrique Tato to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Santos Urtubia made a kick off. In the 57thth minute of the game Santos Urtubia who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but CD Asuncion's Angulo Portanares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. William Somarriba's late challenge caught a Los Broncos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. William Somarriba helped the player get up and apologised. After 61 played minutes CD Asuncion got a freekick which was hit by William Somarriba. William Somarriba kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Carlos Sabon managed to get in a good position for a shot. CD Asuncion's supporters rose to their feet, but Carlos Sabon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Enrique Tato breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Carlos Sabon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Enrique Tato was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. CD Asuncion's Xabat Machicao shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 78th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Enrique Tato but with some difficulty.
