The referee ignored Suecia de Europa's protests and gave Chalá Artealde a yellow card for diving instead. If Ugutz Obispo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute, Renán Parte left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C.S. EMELEC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Matamba Escuza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Freddy Queduro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Renán Partes short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Matamba Escuza to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Suecia de Europa's Matamba Escuza played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Freddy Queduro in the 22nd minute of play. Xzavaier Marin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iza Zaldivar in the 24th minute of play. Suecia de Europa's Matamba Escuza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Suecia de Europa from getting a goal against them. Xzavaier Marin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iza Zaldivar in the 31st minute of play. Xzavaier Marin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Xosepe Viñaspre's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Matamba Escuza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Queduro in the 37th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as C.S. EMELEC's Freddy Queduro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Matamba Escuza. That made the score 2-1 after 39 minutes of play. Matamba Escuza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Freddy Queduro in the 45th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Freddy Queduro made the kick off in the second half. Freddy Queduro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Matamba Escuza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Freddy Queduro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iza Zaldivar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xzavaier Marin having to interfere. Matamba Escuza showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Freddy Queduro, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Suecia de Europa's Iza Zaldivar got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Matamba Escuza stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Freddy Queduro's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. Flor Lijarco's late challenge caught a C.S. EMELEC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flor Lijarco helped the player get up and apologised. After 72 played minutes Suecia de Europa got a freekick which was hit by Flor Lijarco. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind C.S. EMELEC's goalkeeper Xzavaier Marin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 78 played minutes C.S. EMELEC got a freekick which was hit by Camacho Retortillo. If Renán Parte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 minutes, Ugutz Obispo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C.S. EMELEC and the Suecia de Europa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 88 played minutes C.S. EMELEC got a freekick which was hit by Ugutz Obispo. When Renán Parte came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the C.S. EMELEC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renán Parte couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Suecia de Europa had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
