Ysidro Palafox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Gómez Bertiz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gómez Bertiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ysidro Palafox, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Ordonez Yunibarbia hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. Costante Portillo kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Moisés Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus Riart having to interfere. Ilapo SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave AEK RIOFORZA the free kick. After 45 played minutes Ilapo SC got a freekick which was hit by Zosimo Ziarza.

The wind increased when Ysidro Palafox made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murillo Amileta in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gómez Bertiz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in AEK RIOFORZA's zone, Zosimo Ziarza stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateus Riart came out of the goal and Zosimo Ziarza tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Angelo Bada kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Gómez Bertiz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Murillo Amileta in the 62nd minute of the match. Gómez Bertiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ysidro Palafox, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Murillo Amileta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gómez Bertiz having to interfere. During the 79th minute of the match Angelo Bada completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Angelo Bada a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. The referee ignored Ilapo SC's protests and gave Moisés Vargas a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Ilapo SC's Moisés Vargas got a free kick in the 90th minute. Ilapo SC's Gómez Bertiz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Murillo Amileta in the 91st minute of play. If Zosimo Ziarza had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The Ilapo SC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ilapo SC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
