Spectators: 6682 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1682, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the game, Leonides Betanzos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Perlaza Corias. Leonides Betanzos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cruz Castaneda in the 8th minute of play forced Yanacocha SC's goalkeeper Batista Pardemanos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 played minutes Yanacocha SC got a freekick which was hit by Vellito Avellano. Perlaza Corias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Betanzos in the 17th minute of the match. Gabriel Arena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gabriel Arena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Batista Pardemanos having to interfere. In the 31st minute, López Mussoll hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonides Betanzos charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonides Betanzos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 35 played minutes Yanacocha SC got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Betanzos. Batista Pardemanos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cruz Castaneda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gabriel Arena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Leonides Betanzos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Yanacocha SC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Cruz Castaneda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 58th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 59th match minute, Yanacocha SC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ivan Hudobro to maneuver through the defense. Cruz Castaneda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Batista Pardemanos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Perlaza Corias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Betanzos, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. Omar Velayo hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. 66 minutes had been played when some careless play by CD Gualaqui's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Ubendu Lucero was slow to take the kick. During this time Yanacocha SC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Yanacocha SC's Ubendu Lucero to fire away a dangerous shot which Perlaza Corias despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 73rdth minute of the game Gabriel Arena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yanacocha SC's Batista Pardemanos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yambay Pardabu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 minutes, Xove Montes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the CD Gualaqui and the Yanacocha SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, Xove Montes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leonides Betanzos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Perlaza Corias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Leonides Betanzos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Perlaza Corias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Betanzos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yambay Pardabu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 86 played minutes CD Gualaqui got a freekick which was hit by Xove Montes. When the match had gone on for 87 minutes, Yambay Pardabu put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Perlaza Corias. After some careless play in the CD Gualaqui defense, Yambay Pardabu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Perlaza Corias. The CD Gualaqui fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Perlaza Corias should have stopped the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Yanacocha SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while CD Gualaqui had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
