Spectators: 7406 (Terracing: 5555, Seating: 1703, VIP seats: 148) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gabriel Arena took the kick off in the first half of the match. Gabriel Arena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Montez having to interfere. In the 6th minute, Emilio Merchan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Xalvador Arbieto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the CD Gualaqui defense, Ximeno Olea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Perlaza Corias. The CD Gualaqui fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Perlaza Corias should have stopped the shot. Valencia Hortiz charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Valencia Hortiz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 17 played minutes CD Gualaqui got a freekick which was hit by Valencia Hortiz. Perlaza Corias made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Ximeno Olea sent off a good shot on target. In the 26th play minute Ximeno Olea came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Perlaza Corias. 2-0. The crowd rose to their feet as UD Pinantura's Xalvador Arbieto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Perlaza Corias. That made the score 3-0 after 30 minutes of play. CD Gualaqui's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Ximeno Olea scored to the left of an out of position Perlaza Corias, making the score, 4-0. Rey Vidrio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Perlaza Corias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in CD Gualaqui's zone, Ximeno Olea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Perlaza Corias came out of the goal and Ximeno Olea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edmundo Alberete's late challenge caught a CD Gualaqui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmundo Alberete helped the player get up and apologised. Edmundo Alberete hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Xamin Guixot kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match.

The wind increased when Ximeno Olea made the kick off in the second half. Zuriko Cenal's late challenge caught a CD Gualaqui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zuriko Cenal helped the player get up and apologised. After 58 played minutes UD Pinantura got a freekick which was hit by Zuriko Cenal. In the 62nd minute, Zuriko Cenal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Perlaza Corias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ximeno Olea in the 76th minute of the match. Rey Vidrio might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Perlaza Corias. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rey Vidrio ran back to his position shaking his head. Perlaza Corias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Xalvador Arbieto, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. After having played for 82 minutes, Ximeno Olea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Pinantura's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ximeno Olea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Perlaza Corias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ximeno Olea, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. When Xalvador Arbieto came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the UD Pinantura fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xalvador Arbieto couldn't finish the play. If Rey Vidrio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. UD Pinantura fully deserved thier win.
