Facundo Olveira hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Guarinag's Polo Sousa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Lezama in the 5th minute of play. After 6 played minutes Guarinag got a freekick which was hit by Santos Manriquez. If Ximenez Siles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 20 minutes into the match, Guarinag's Ximenez Siles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hugo Puelles narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Ximenez Siles had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hugo Puelles. Los Hijos de Sion FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ximenez Siles was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Guarinag were furious when Eduardo Murua was red carded, 27 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 28th minute, Eduardo Murua hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Udalaitz Menor in the 32nd minute of play forced Guarinag's goalkeeper Polo Sousa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rodrigo Rubial received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Polo Sousa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Polo Sousa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Udalaitz Menor in the 40th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristian Cerda during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Facundo Olveira struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Hugo Puelles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guarinag.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Salvador Lezama was the one to do the kick off. 56 minutes into the match, Guarinag's goalkeeper Polo Sousa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rodrigo Rubial. Salvador Lezama received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Polo Sousa came out and tried to block the shot, but Salvador Lezama slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 57th minute. Rodrigo Rubial scored 1-2 in the 65th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Polo Sousa, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 67th minute, Udalaitz Menor hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santos Manriquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Polo Sousa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Lezama, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Through an outstanding action, after 78 minutes, Polo Sousa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Polo Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Udalaitz Menor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 81st minute Santos Manriquez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hugo Puelles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Polo Sousa was out of position in the 83 minute of play, and Salvador Lezama capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Salvador Lezama really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Cristian Cerda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hugo Puelles having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Cristian Cerda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo Rubial got free with Polo Sousa in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Polo Sousa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Salvador Lezama in the 96th minute of the match. The Los Hijos de Sion FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
