After a rather tough play, Apocalypto's Jacinto Moiselo got a free kick in the 4th minute. Martinez Iglesia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Pedro Monterroso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Monterroso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vilson Cendegui, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Evelio Duyos took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rocio Rancel. Rocio Rancel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Camacho Machado struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Rocio Rancel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Apocalypto. Tukupi's Rocio Rancel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Tukupi from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Apocalypto's zone, Martinez Iglesia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Monterroso came out of the goal and Martinez Iglesia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 43 minutes into the game, when Flavio Ruich put in a rough tackle. 42 minutes into the game, one of Tukupi:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Apocalypto a penalty, 46 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Yépez Aoiz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tukupi's Rocio Rancel. 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vilson Cendegui to make the kick off. Camacho Machado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rocio Rancel having to interfere. Apocalypto's Camacho Machado got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rocio Rancel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camacho Machado in the 61st minute of play. After 63 played minutes Apocalypto got a freekick which was hit by Jacinto Moiselo. If Evelio Duyos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute Camacho Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rocio Rancel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rocio Rancel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camacho Machado in the 86th minute of the match. Apocalypto walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
