James Luciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Pliego in the 29th minute of play. Andres Serradell charged in rather forcefully in the 31st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andres Serradell the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Vieja SC booed when Barcelona CS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andres Serradell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Andres Serradell recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 33rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 35 minutes, Xicu Valdueza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barcelona CS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xicu Valdueza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vieja SC's goalkeeper Candelario Chinchilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. James Luciano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Santos Pliego in the 40th minute of play. Barcelona CS's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Santos Pliego scored to the left of an out of position James Luciano, making the score, 2-0. Andres Serradell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Santos Pliego stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. German Rebolloso hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. After 59 played minutes Vieja SC got a freekick which was hit by Santos Pliego. Barcelona CS's James Luciano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veto Proaño in the 62nd minute of play. Xicu Valdueza might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Candelario Chinchilla. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Xicu Valdueza ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 66th minute, Andres Serradell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Santos Pliego had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Santos Pliego had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of James Luciano. Barcelona CS's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Santos Pliego was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Pliego in the 78th minute of play forced Barcelona CS's goalkeeper James Luciano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Veto Proaño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vieja SC's goalkeeper Candelario Chinchilla, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andres Serradell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Vieja SC's goal looked a bit too open when Unax Sepulveda came free, but Candelario Chinchilla reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Vieja SC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
