Zayvius Serans was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ledesma Cajigal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Macias Payva having to interfere. Macias Payva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zosimo Sara, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Ledesma Cajigal came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the CD Apagua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ledesma Cajigal couldn't finish the play. Zosimo Sara recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Macias Payva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ledesma Cajigal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zosimo Sara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Macias Payva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to CD Apagua getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Moreno Balza hit a great ball. In the 46th match minute, UD Timpu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Caballol to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Washington Sanjuan took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 54th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Macias Payva. UD Timpu's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 57th minute Zosimo Sara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Macias Payva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Zosimo Sara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 65 minutes into the game, CD Apagua's Ledesma Cajigal nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Macias Payva made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Ledesma Cajigal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice moves Ledesma Cajigal could shoot a difficult shot in the 72nd minute, which Macias Payva however easily saved by the left post. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind UD Timpu's goalkeeper Macias Payva, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ledesma Cajigal blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Macias Payva having to make a save. In the 79th minute, Ledesma Cajigal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The long shot by Leonardo Sandino in the 83rd minute really tested Macias Payva's skills.
