When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Rosero Ezquerra took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Macias Payva to make any attempt to save it. 9 minutes into the match, UD Timpu's goalkeeper Macias Payva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rosero Ezquerra. With a little luck, UD Timpu's Macias Payva got control of the ball when Rosero Ezquerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. 18 minutes into the game, Zadornin Virues threw the ball into play from the sideline. Los Mutantes's Ambrossi Herbon quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Rosero Ezquerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Los Mutantes's supporters rose to their feet, but Rosero Ezquerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Macias Payva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernardo Trasagua took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Salas Longo. Los Mutantes's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Victoriano Caballol cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Salas Longo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Salas Longo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Caballol, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. In the 41st minute, Ambrossi Herbon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rosero Ezquerra got free with Macias Payva in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rosero Ezquerra to make the kick off. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Los Mutantes's goalkeeper Salas Longo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Salas Longo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Caballol, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 61st minute, Ambrossi Herbon ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Macias Payva was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Salomon Marichal's late challenge caught a UD Timpu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Salomon Marichal helped the player get up and apologised. Salomon Marichal kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Bernardo Trasagua kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Rosero Ezquerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Macias Payva having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as UD Timpu's Victoriano Caballol slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Salas Longo. That made the score 2-2 after 70 minutes of play. If Rosero Ezquerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Manuel Machado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ambrossi Herbon was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Los Mutantes getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Ambrossi Herbon hit a great ball. When the match had gone on for 96 minutes, Victoriano Caballol put it in 3-3 from a short distance just to the right of Salas Longo. Los Mutantes were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing UD Timpu to leave the ground with a draw.
