Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Club Atletico Quito's Fernandez Cerejido got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marlon Pradias came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by UD Jigua's Klimovich Bierna. But to his dismay, Klimovich Bierna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. UD Jigua's Jonatan Belluga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alejandro Bolde in the 13th minute of play. If Klimovich Bierna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jonatan Belluga came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Atletico Quito's Alejandro Bolde. But to his dismay, Alejandro Bolde quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 22ndth minute of the game Xandro Legarda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atletico Quito's Marlon Pradias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alejandro Bolde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Jonatan Belluga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Club Atletico Quito getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Raúl Arando hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute Xandro Legarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marlon Pradias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 37 minutes, Xandro Legarda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UD Jigua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xandro Legarda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 38 played minutes Club Atletico Quito got a freekick which was hit by Raúl Arando. Ramirez Vilafranca charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ramirez Vilafranca the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 40th match minute, UD Jigua was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramirez Vilafranca to maneuver through the defense. In the 43rd minute, Tenorio Tofiño got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tenorio Tofiño fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonatan Belluga having to interfere. Camilo Iturbide kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Club Atletico Quito's Vitor Buisan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 48th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for UD Jigua. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Klimovich Bierna made the kick off in the second half. Klimovich Bierna's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Quito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Klimovich Bierna helped the player get up and apologised. Jonatan Belluga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Bolde in the 58th minute of play. Jonatan Belluga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tenorio Tofiño in the 60th minute of the match. Ramirez Vilafranca kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. When Club Atletico Quito's Alejandro Bolde in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye UD Jigua's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Club Atletico Quito booed when UD Jigua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Club Atletico Quito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave UD Jigua the free kick. In the 80th match minute, Club Atletico Quito was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lopez Carnero to maneuver through the defense. Klimovich Bierna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marlon Pradias having to interfere. Marlon Pradias was a little too slow when Klimovich Bierna got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 1-2. Jonatan Belluga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tenorio Tofiño in the 91st minute of the match. After 92 played minutes UD Jigua got a freekick which was hit by Camilo Iturbide. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched UD Jigua eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
