Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when León Urizar made the kick off which started today's match. Xavier Gabi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tenorio Tofiño, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. After 7 played minutes Planado got a freekick which was hit by Xever Cuero. Lopez Carnero kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Tenorio Tofiño got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 17th minute Tenorio Tofiño shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavier Gabi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 22 minutes into the game, Gutierrez Berria was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Planado's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico Quito the free kick. Gutierrez Berria kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Tenorio Tofiño struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Xavier Gabi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Club Atletico Quito. León Urizar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Alejandro Bolde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aurelio Carrasco kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Tenorio Tofiño sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Club Atletico Quito getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Raúl Arando hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alejandro Bolde to make the kick off. Xavier Gabi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fernandez Cerejido in the 52nd minute. If Tenorio Tofiño had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Xavier Gabi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alejandro Bolde, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Norberto Rafecas hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After having played for 61 minutes, Enrico Mena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Planado's supporters crossed their fingers, but Enrico Mena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Romero Aramoyana's late challenge caught a Club Atletico Quito's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romero Aramoyana helped the player get up and apologised. Planado's León Urizar got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marlon Pradias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrico Mena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. León Urizar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Marlon Pradias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aurelio Carrasco's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marlon Pradias read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. Xavier Gabi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Bolde in the 91st minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Alejandro Bolde managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico Quito's supporters rose to their feet, but Alejandro Bolde was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xavier Gabi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Club Atletico Quito played a much better game than Planado and deserved their victory. The Planado players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
