When Yoel Brieba fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rugel's protests and gave Yoel Brieba a yellow card for diving instead. When Maximo Bruna came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Rugel fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maximo Bruna couldn't finish the play. If Chatruc Nocedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aguirre Gota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chatruc Nocedo in the 25th minute of the match. In the 28th match minute, Rugel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xaime Celada to maneuver through the defense. Rugel's Aguirre Gota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michael Villagarcia in the 32nd minute of play. In the 37th minute Maximo Bruna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hurtado Arras saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 42nd minute, Adolfo Cervera got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. UD Rojas's Hurtado Arras played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adolfo Cervera in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Chatruc Nocedo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Rugel booed when UD Rojas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Omar Contreras didn't get a good kick on the ball. Adolfo Cervera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The UD Rojas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hurtado Arras should have stopped the shot. Hurtado Arras showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Cervera in the 79th minute of the match. Maximo Bruna might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hurtado Arras. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maximo Bruna ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 86 minutes, Adolfo Cervera managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rugel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adolfo Cervera was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Maximo Bruna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Adolfo Cervera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hurtado Arras was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. 95 minutes into the match, UD Rojas's goal looked a bit too open when Adolfo Cervera came free, but Hurtado Arras reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, UD Rojas's Pico Gallega got a free kick in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the UD Rojas players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Rugel.
